用料  

carrots 2

Do chua / Vietnamese carrot pickle的做法  

  1. julienne 2 carrots

  2. sprinkle salt to let water out of the carrots

  3. gently squeeze water away from carrots and move them into a container (no oil!)

  4. boil 1/2 cup water, 1 tbsp sugar, and 1.5 tbsp vinegar

    let it cool a bit then pour into the container

  5. marinate for 3h or overnight before serving

小贴士

if want more Chinese flavored pickle, could add some chopped chili pepper and garlic slices
